Research AI: govern access before the business pilot

When a specialised model enters the enterprise, its score is not the first useful control: the ability to limit, attribute and withdraw access is. OpenAI’s October 30 release notes describe a staged, off-by-default rollout for GPT-6 Rosalind Research to approved Enterprise customers.
1. Keep the announcement in scope
OpenAI says access is limited to certain approved Enterprise customers, starts with a two-week administrator preview and is off by default. This concerns that product and establishes neither fitness for a business process nor compliance for a specific processing operation. It does show why access to a specialised model deserves an explicit organisational decision.
2. Turn the preview into a governance control
For a Belgian or French company, name a business owner, administrator and security owner before enabling it. Define authorised users, permitted datasets, expected outputs and a review date. Preserve evidence of activation, assigned roles and deactivation. The same discipline applies to a local model, sovereign AI or a European cloud.
3. Do not connect Odoo Enterprise directly
An Odoo Enterprise pilot should start with fictional or extracted data and a non-writing service account. Separate consultation, recommendation and execution. A plausible answer must not become an automatic supplier, order or accounting entry. Existing Odoo Belgium or Odoo France permissions remain authoritative: AI must not bypass them.
4. Measure access withdrawal
Test one simple case: remove a user from the pilot group, revoke access to documents and verify that new requests as well as queued work are refused. Review available logs, connector identities and retained data. Revocation time, observed exceptions and their correction are more meaningful criteria than a general demonstration.
5. Decide with a release dossier
At the end of the preview, collect covered needs, incidents, costs, quality, actually required permissions and supplier dependencies. An extension is warranted only if the business owner accepts known limits and the technical team can revoke, audit and recover the workflow. This approach does not replace GDPR, contractual or sector-specific assessment.
Operational priority: limit the first pilot to one group, one corpus and a non-writing workflow, then prove end-to-end revocation.
